Raku is a Japanese firing process where each piece is fired individually, very quickly to 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit. After the piece reaches temperature, it is removed from the kiln, it is placed in a metal canister with combustible materials which burst into flames. The canister is then sealed and the flames are suffocated. The smoke and flames change the way the glazes react and create truly unique, remarkable finishes. See below for bowl pricing:
